    Your Minecraft name:

    XenVoltz

Are you using the same forum & Minecraft account that you used when you were a staff member in the past? (Yes or No). If no, state all former account names and be prepared to verify that you're not an imposter.

    Yes

Note: Reinstatements will not be approved until the EAO can positively verify that the person applying for reinstatement is the same as the past admin - the burden of proof is on the person requesting reinstatement.

What rank were you (Administrator, Senior Admin) and the approx dates you were a staff member: (e.g. super admin from Jun 2010 - Jan 2013)

    Administrator May 5, 2014 - Jan 2, 2021

Why were you removed from your staff position? (Answer one below and exclude the rest)

    a. For long-term inactivity? (Yes or No) If Yes, did you post an inactivity notice or did you leave without notice - please explain if no notice was left.

Yes and I did not. I got very busy with school and work.

    b. I left or was told to leave the server due to a security breach of my accounts (Yes or No). If yes, explain the circumstances and how you plan to ensure it doesn't happen again.

    No

    c. I quit or resigned (Yes or No) If Yes, explain why you didn't follow the policy to simply go inactive rather than quit or resign.

    No

    d. I was removed or suspended for misconduct (Yes or No) If yes, explain why and detail your plan to ensure it won't happen again.

    No

    e. I voluntarily left the server to avoid a suspension or possible suspension (Yes or No). If yes, explain the circumstances and how you plan to ensure it doesn't happen again.

    No

    f. If you don't know why you were removed, state, "I don't know why I was removed"

If you were removed just for long-term inactivity (yes to 4a above and no to 4b thru 4e), please skip to Q 6 otherwise you must answer this question: What current activities have you performed to merit reinstatement?
    a. Filed griefer reports on the forum
    b. Assisted new or existing players (explain how)
    c. Creative endeavors such as making promotional videos for TF (If Yes, give examples)
    d. Have assisted in TF development activities such as contributing to TFM (If Yes, give examples)
    e. Have assisted in improving policy or general moderation of the TF server or forum? (if Yes, give examples)
    f. Other (provide detailed explanation)

If you are reinstated, how often will you be able to do staff duties?

    2-3 times a week.

Have you reviewed the server rules and banning protocols to ensure you're up to speed on any changes that might have occurred since your return from inactivity?

    Yes

Do you have a family member that's been on the perm ban list within the past 60 days? If yes, your request will be denied with the exception of the allowance in rule 18 of https://totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/3...cklist-nov

    No, I do not.

Wild has said it himself that there has not been any testing of new software since he last announced that there would be. It is not high in his priority list.

This software is terrible, but we're going to have to deal with it until he decides to do something about it.

Most sanctions people are talking about were pretty much witch hunts simply because they didn’t like Ashaz. I would encourage people voting to take that into account as well.

You are one of the most active and helpful OPs, but I am inclined to agree with Elmon and can see why others objected or went neutral. Now I don’t really see that as a reason to object or go neutral because I’m pretty sure most admins became admin at a point when they were way more immature than you. I believe you can be an excellent admin, so I vouch. You show more interest in this server and its future than a lot of current admins. I would have probably rec'd if I wasn’t removed for inactivity.

@wild1145#6519 Before the Proboards forum was locked, it was visited regularly. Many people went back to see old threads and posts for reference, evidence, or just to reminisce.

Unlocking the forum right now would cause no issue. All that needs to be done is permissions revoked from posting and registration and maybe shoutbox disabled. Admin boards are not viewable by anyone else, except for those with moderation privileges. That stuff could've been done in a matter of minutes, but it has been over two weeks and nothing has been done...

My issue is not with the forum itself as much as it is with you refusing to at least allocate these simple tasks to others (such as your developers or executive team or even admins) that you say you don't have time for or were unable to get to because you were busy.

@wild1145#6517 Like I said before, that does not require the entire forum to be locked down. All of the admin boards are not viewable by anyone except those with moderator privileges. Once you've read through all of the threads in sensitive boards, then you can make it viewable by everyone. You have many staff members that can do this stuff (I myself would be willing to help).

@Ivan#6506 It may be the best way, but it isn't necessary. The vast majority of people who need to access the TF forums already know where to go. We also have a webpage with a URL that has been the same for years. That could easily be used for important information such as a forum change. When Seth was the owner and we had switched over to Flarum, all that was needed was a simple thread and it worked just fine.

It is completely possible to make admin only categories visible to everyone without maintenance mode being enabled. Just don't allow visibility of those categories until they are ready.

@Ivan#6501 It was mainly enabled for archival purposes. That is literally what the first sentence of this thread states. Directing players to this forum does not require the Proboards forum to be in maintenance mode and registration has already been disabled so no one can even register there.

Honestly, even to archive the forum does not require maintenance mode. Any category that may contain sensitive information (such as Senior Admin Lounge) is already hidden by default because no one has the permissions; that was never restored. The forum can still be open and "archived" at the same time.

How long will maintenance mode be enabled? It really shouldn't take this long to "archive" the forums. All you have to do is restrict everyone from doing everything except the ability to read threads (of course not every thread). I've been wanting to go back and look at stuff, but I can't because the forum is still in maintenance mode...

@neo#6276 As far as I know, OptiFine is not affected.

I recently learned that the creator of the malware has since come out and apologized. He's even created open-source software that'll remove the malware from your computer. Apparently, he included the malware in most, if not all, of his clients/mods he has created, which is why the Anarchy community was affected so heavily.

This subreddit has a ton of information about the malware and its creator: https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftclients/ and there is also a thread that'll link you to the creator's new GitHub account (because his last one got banned in light of the malware). On the GitHub account is a repository that has a few links. One link includes the malware removal software.

It is suggested that everyone check if this malware is on their computer. The author of the thread suggests doing a complete computer reset if the malware is found on your computer. There is no current origin of this malware.

How to know if you have the malware.

    • Navigate to this folder: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\libraries\net\minecraftforge\injector\forgedefault
    • If a file named injector-forgedefault exists, then it is suggested to completely reset your computer.

According to the Reddit thread, this is all the information it can get from you:

    • injects itself into forge profile when you run it grabs your ip, operating system name, computer username, and some hwid
    • grabs your discord token, discord username, email, if you have 2fa enabled, phone number, if you have nitro, and if you have any linked payment methods
    • grabs your minecraft session token, name, and uuid
    • grabs all of the mods in your mods folder takes a screenshot of your screen
    • grabs the minecraft accounts you have logged into the minecraft launcher
    • grabs your chrome login data file
    • grabs filezilla servers
    • grabs sharex configs grabs your future client login details
    • grabs your minecraft accounts from future client manager
    • grabs your waypoints from future client
    • grabs your waypoints from salhack
    • grabs your minecraft accounts from rusherhack manager
    • grabs your waypoints from rusherhack
    • grabs your minecraft accounts from pyro manager
    • grabs some weird server stuff from pyro idek what this is
    • grabs your konas files which i assume have waypoints and stuff
    • grabs your waypoints from kami blue
    • grabs everything from journeymap
    • grabs source code from recent intellij projects
    • and all of that is being sent to one of 5 discord webhooks

@wild1145#5272 Active in the community OPs with a certain amount of in-game playtime, a certain amount of time spent in the Discord, and a certain amount of time and/or a certain amount of posts on the forum.

A command could possibly be created to "register to vote." Once run, it will check in-game playtime, forum account age & post count, and a check for a Discord role given after a certain amount of time of being in the server. If they pass all the checks, then it'll give them access to voting.

I understand that this would take a while to implement and would be difficult, but since this is something that isn't something that is needed immediately, I think it can be done. If done properly, this could very beneficial, even for day-to-day voting that isn't just voting for the Owner.

@elmon#5273 Discord wouldn't work, you can make as many discord accounts as you have emails

With that logic, any solution could easily be ruled out. MC Alts can be used, Discord Alts can be used, someone can make different forum accounts, etc. If we implement requirements on multiple levels, then it'd be harder to rig votes.

@wild1145#5258 Even though you do not advise Discord, I think that'd probably be the easiest and most secure way. If you go with linking Minecraft accounts, then maybe require a certain amount of Non-AFK playtime on the server as well as a certain amount of posts on the forum.

@Miwojedk#5253 As far as I know, he just hasn't ruled out the possibility, but I don't think he has said a definite yes to voting to convict unless you can provide a source.
