NBC has now projected Michigan as Biden's. If he gets Nevada (which reportedly will be releasing results today) and Arizona, then it is all over.

@StevenNL2000#399 I don't believe the wrong people are being reported (other than the Ashaz case I pointed out). What I am proposing (which I will make more clear in the main thread) is that forum moderators should be able to warn/ban/restrict members on the forum the same way admins are able to warn/ban/kick/mute OPs in-game. The forum guidelines has a similar structure the server conduct policy, pretty much outlining which punishment fits what rule that was broken. Giving the choice of punishment to the reporter makes no sense to me. The issue that people are just blindly voting isn't the main reason I think people shouldn't be allowed to vote. I just find it unnecessary altogether, but in some cases, it has just been completely unfair for some people.

NBC has just projected Wisconsin as Biden's. If Biden can secure three more states (most likely Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona), then he will win the election.
-
@Tozzit#393 We can only hope. Donald Trump jammed a supreme court justice through for this very reason, making three of the nine justices Trump picks. The court is already 6-3 conservative, but hopefully they will be non-partisan when it comes to handling this case.
-
It’s already starting; many Trump supporters (on Twitter, including Trump himself) are claiming that this election is fraudulent after over 100,000 absentee ballots in Michigan were for Biden, giving him the lead there. Yes, Biden is most likely going to win the election, but will he make it to the presidency if Trump goes to the supreme court? This is going to be a very interesting next few weeks.
-
@Miwojedk#365 He is literally trying to steal the election. Him jamming through a supreme court justice--which was very hypocritical for Republicans--is going to help him do it. If Trump loses the votes, then his plan is to go to the supreme court-- which is 6-3 conservative, 3 of which are picks from him--and try to claim some sort of election meddling from the Democratic Party.

Same suggestion I made on the old forum before it was deleted. I don't remember everything from it, but I'll update it as needed.
- Change "Forum Sanction Request" to "Forum Report" or something along those lines.
- Instead of these reports being posted, have them DM'd to Forum Moderators/Admins.
- Change the template to something like this (getting rid of the "Requested Sanction" option):
- Name of forum member being reported.
- Which forum posting guideline(s) has the member violated? See here.
- Provide evidence. (i.e. screenshots, link to thread/post)
- Allow forum staff members to determine punishment.
- (Not entirely necessary) Create a punishment log for forum staff to update.
- Require forum staff to post request for any ban longer than one month.
What I’m pretty much saying is we should allow forum staff to moderate on the forums the same way admins moderate punish in-game using the forum guideline (which is structured similarly to the server conduct policy).
Here is my original post (before I had edited it to add others' suggestions) that I got from cached google history:
QuoteDisplay MoreMost people who file FSRs have been extremely biased, and in some cases, completely inaccurate.
Example 1: https://forum.totalfreedom.me/d/265-ron-sanction-request
Request was made for @ron for "Powerposting, and flaming." but excluded everyone else that participated in breaking the guidelines in the thread. This is just blatantly picking and choosing who gets punished from a pool of violators.
Example 2: https://forum.totalfreedom.me/d/140-fsr-ashaztga
Request was made for man for power-posting. Had I not thoroughly gone through the evidence, he may very well have been perm banned for violating zero guidelines because many people do not like him and blindly voted.
I am not entirely sure how to go about reforming this process, but something needs to change. People are getting sanctioned for breaking the rules whilst others are being completely overlooked and I think the way this process is currently setup is allowing this. This happened a lot on the Proboards forums and I am starting to notice it happen on here. The reason for this thread is to bring attention to the problem and get ideas from the community on how we can fix it.

@fionn#338
@wild1145#346Results probably won’t be officially announced for a few more days or maybe even weeks. Mail-in ballots just started getting counted today (iirc).

@wild1145#314 I know Trump wants to either win by a mile (Which is won't (by a mile I mean)) or for it to be so close he can take it to court and spend months in courts trying to get votes for Biden thrown out for various reasons. That's what was being reported here yesterday at least.
Yeah that is what I think is going to happen. Donald Trump has appointed three supreme court justices, so I assume that if he loses (and his chances of winning are not very high), he will claim election meddling or something like that. With the court being 6-3 conservative, it'll be interesting to see how this will turn out.
Donald Trump has a very strong supporter base, but I don't think he will win. A lot of Republicans who voted for him in 2016 are going to be voting for Joe Biden. I do not like either candidates, but it seems Joe Biden is going to win.

@Telesphoreo#267 So all we need is executive approval? fionn Please respond to this.
-
@Telesphoreo#253 Not even the ability to start/stop the server? If we don't do this, we will definitely lose players. Yesterday the server went down for hours and it seems that will be the case again today. I think the ownership policy should be overlooked in this scenario as this will drastically affect our server. The ownership policy takes about a month (iirc) and I don't even think it has been initiated yet. This cannot keep on going for a whole month (waiting hours for Ryan to get online and start the server that is).
-
Allow Senior Admins to have some sort of restricted access to the server. It seems that Ryan is the only one with access, so when the server goes down for whatever reason (like it has the past two days), we can't start it unless he is online.

@videogamesm12#248 We are currently using Flarum because it was the last forum software that we were on, making it the official TF forum. Flarum was chosen after a lot of people expressed their discontent with MyBB. I assume the choice was influenced by the Telesphoreo's Flarum forum he made in protest of MyBB.
-
People seem to forget that Flarum is still in beta. I am sure when there is a stable release, it will include all of the features that it currently lacks. As for now, we are stuck using this until a new owner decides where we will go (hopefully Proboards or Discourse).
