from my understanding, there's no actual exploit that was used that fucked with the server in any meaningful way. at least for the joining with fake hostnames part. that's not an exploit in the slightest, as you can simply do that from your windows host file. i join with other domains as well, but the difference to ryan seems to be that the ones i use actually exist (since i own said used domains)

vouch. from my understanding, he wasn't even supposed to be posting or interacting with the community at all, but his forum account wasn't banned for whatever reason, so that wasn't fully enforceable.
regardless, he's made a pattern of getting unbanned, then raging because he doesn't get his way or what not, then getting banned again.
