  • Theme Park Project V1.0

    Hello everyone!


    Me and excellentgamer1 have a really good idea for TF, it's a project that will take time but we'd like your approval and support. The project is a theme park, but it'll just be a big area in flatlands for OPs to visit - something for them to do.


    At first it does sound stupid, but in reality it is not. A theme park would be a good contribution to our server as we have a young playerbase.


    Some of you (OPs) may vote against this because excellentgamer1 is part of this. I'd like to ask that you leave your personal view of him aside and consider the positives of this project.


    For this project, we would need the following plugins:

    • OpenAudioMC
    • TrainCarts
    • Bk commonlib
    • TrainCarts Coasters

    These plugins can also be used by OPs to create theme parks themselves.


    This project will be lead by excellentgamer1 btw, I'm learning this stuff from him.


    We don't have any planning on the project as this idea had only sprung a few days ago, but we hope you guys do accept this idea :D


    Edit: Would like to add that if we manage to make the theme park, we can also advertise TF to the theme park community as a place where players can come and make their own theme parks (just an idea)

  • Make TotalFreedom Special

    There is nothing fun to do on TF, as you've said here. The only commands I can do are worldedit ones and a few PVP cmds, as well as some basic ass car w carz. The only thing you can actually do is build and roleplay or PVP.


    I think issues over the year have taken part in removal of plugins - instead of investigating why a plugin can crash or harm the server, it gets/got removed, which was wrong. This has left TF to basically be a server which you can find on networks like PurplePrison.


    I looked at plan today and we have 4800 inactive players, meaning they once joined TF. This indicates ads have worked, but the server experience itself is s•••. 4800 potential players would've meant we could've filled our network at least 16 times at the same time.


    I think it's time to stop blaming the ESL team, I think it's time for the developers and ESL team to start working together (like you said). I think it's time for the community to come together, form ideas and look at them properly, not just because it's 'annoying'.

    This is our current server description.


    After looking at other servers, I think we should simplify this much more. I appreciate the effort put in above, but I think it's tmi.


    Some of the servers at the top have short descriptions like this:

    While others have simple bullet points like this:

    I am not saying that if we change it, we'll instantly get more players. I'm just saying it's better to change it as it will be easier for potential players to read.

    I think the shorter description will be quicker for people to read and pick up the features of our server. Put your thoughts below on what it could be or if we should change it or not.


    I also don't really know if this fits into suggestions or general discussion so I'm just plopping it into suggestions for now.

  • My first ever build that I actually like on TF

    So I've been here for around 6-7 years now, and one thing I realised is I've never actually built something that I liked. I've always built random wood block houses or a massive trampoline, or a small little airskiff back in the movecraft days. But instead of repeating history, I decided to change my own.


    Today I made my first ever modern house in TotalFreedom. I absolutely adore this build, I had some help in the interior from bowie and Saab too.

    If you've read up to this point, and if you don't mind, please could you leave a rating below out of 10? I appreciate criticism, as I am not an experienced builder and this is probably the most advanced project I've done.

    You just gotta ask an admin to do /fluidspread.


    It's disabled because it can be used to lag, but in terms of griefing coreprotect should log it.

    I think the aim of changing to this is to maintain stability when the player count has increased. Therefore if we put this on the beta server, we need to put 20 or so players on the server to test it properly, right @Reperak?

    a) No, the official event happened on bowie's arena.
    b) Nick's arena, quite literally, wasn't part of the event at all. All of the rounds where the supposed results come from are from bowie's. It wasn't even meant to be an ESL event, it was just meant to be mine and pyro's with a coin prize.
