I couldn’t help but notice this message in chat. Use of macros for admin duties is not allowed and is a fixed-term suspension worthy action, according to the Staff Conduct Policy. Could you clarify your intentions, please?

↩ MagAgentV3 Then let them make that decision
Clearly you’ve not analysed the thread properly here and went forward with this view of ‘this thread is an expose and has a bunch of writing, let me provide a dumb solution’.
Given the significant amount of evidence provided, and the significance of the evidence provided, there is little to no reason as to why Nick has not been sanctioned yet. In fact, the ‘little’ reason is what could be undisclosed evidence.
People want answers, and they’re not getting them, so they’re trying to fight for them. Posts like yours don’t help, at all. If you’d like a thread locked use the allocated feature for that.

↩ @'Ryan' I’m personally reluctant to grant anyone file system access for a few reasons, one is to ensure we maintain a reasonable qa process or at least the checks and balances around it, some is around separating privileges to try to minimise risk if accounts are breached, and some are because I don’t want people taking unauthorised backups / copies of the file system and potentially sharing them.
Isn’t it Steven’s decision at the end of the day?

It’s the same principle as /execute stop because the /execute command runs it as if you’re in console.
Just do /whitelist on for now and get Tizz to shut it down.
-
What are you doing to stop the server?
If you are running /execute stop from Discord, it (the panel) detects it as a crash. You need to go onto the panel and stop it manually from there.
I only added the /execute command so Event Hosts could run commands from Discord, for sanctioning and other purposes.
Try doing /execute whitelist on and it’ll stop people coming in. -
I decided to take a look at this event, as it's probably the first event in 3-4 months that wasn't hosted by Lyicx or me.
I think it's first important to clarify what the MiniSMP is. MiniSMP was a gamemode formed by Lyicx. It features a land with a people, and the people have a leader who gives them resources. In the past, we've seen variations of this gamemode, including Chaos. Like other events, this needs a good amount of players to be successful. However, it also requires the host/leader to always remain in-game.
My first impressions of the event were not good. I enter the server, to discover that I was the only player online. For an event that requires the leader of the land to remain on at all times, this was disappointing as it indicates the first step of failure. I discover there had been little activity on the server throughout the day, too, with there only being a small tower of wooden planks just at spawn. Players in the discord chat told me that this event only had 3-4 players on in total. It's clear this event didn't have the success that MagAgentV3 wanted.
I would like to end my critique of this event in a more positive way, and that is by providing my advice. I think the Event Host Team needs to be retrained and reviewed, with their current manager looking into each person's skillset and resources. For example, ayunami2000 can host good Discord events as he has a few Jackbox games.
As for MagAgentV3, I have a bit of advice:
- Plan your events out over a longer period of time.
- For an event like MiniSMP, where you're going to need to be there, make sure you are available for it.
- Give a longer notice for your events.
- Try and build up hype for each event.
- Look into plugins that would benefit your event.
I hope this advice helps both you (MagAgentV3) and the team as a whole. Good luck with future events!

↩ ThePyroManActualAccount Also why is everyone treating this like a “Going away” thread?
Because we’re not rude like you.

I disagree.
In the past, TotalFreedom had high retention rates, mainly due to one thing: plugins. More plugins meant more fun features. I recall plugins such as MoveCraft being on the server at the time - said plugin was suggested last year and has still not been added after a year. I genuinely have a belief that if some user-beneficial plugins such as Movecraft were to be added again, our retention rates would increase. With added marketing, our server could grow.
The initial outline of the ECM’s work featured them running the community’s social media platforms, including a TikTok page. This is something that I believe should have its own role. The EMM may use the platforms for marketing, but a distinct role of ‘Media Manager’ could have this job instead.
As for events, I suggest a few changes to the team given my experience:
- Bi-weekly scheduled events (a rota that is followed over a course of 2 weeks)
- More server access (more access given to more hosts, but not all)
- Community choice (look at what the community wants)
I also suggest we open a new, non-executive role of ‘Events Manager’. It’s honestly so much better having an experienced person running the team.
Best of luck for your future Charge.

A thread like this is really unfortunate and indicates to me that certain fools aren’t thinking before they act impulsively.
Everyone can join the dots as to the group of people behind this thread. This group clearly has an idea of what they’re playing with, given that they almost caused the server’s shutdown in the past. I’m sure if TotalFreedom was to close or gain a new owner right now, we’d hear word of a different Free-OP server more frequently from them.

Some of you will be ecstatic at reading this thread's title, but anyway, here's my goodbye.
I rejoined the TotalFreedom community in January 2020, with an intention of helping the community. I wanted to bring back TF to it's 'former glory', and I've not done a lot but just simply done service as both an Event Host and an Administrator.
I remember the days of 2020's TF quite well. At the time, Wilee and I were the only two operators on the forum and the community consisted mainly of admins. This changed towards April 2020, as the Covid Pandemic caused countries globally to enter lockdown. This lead older members of TF, mainly ex-admins, to return. I made new friends on TF at the time, too.
I don't mean to brag here, or call out anyone either, but to me one of my personal accomplishments is pushing through all the barriers along my time at TF. Like a few people here, I've faced repeated bullying and harassment from higher-ranked, manipulative individuals. There is help available, though.
I would like to thank a few people for making my time at TF enjoyable:
Luke - You already know what you've done for me. Thank you for being an amazing support, both in the past and now.
lyicx - Thank you for letting me work under you as an event host, and being there for me when people treated me wrongly.
Xen - Although we don't talk much anymore, thank you for supporting me when I needed it.
MEGAF4IL - The same as XenVoltz, but thank you for the Ramadan sonic memes too 😂
wild1145 - You supported me a lot when my time on TF was tough. You supported me during my admin application. You supported me when I faced bullying. Thank you for it all.I've got a lot coming in the next few months, and probably the next few years. I don't know when I'll be back here but I hope this community does end up thriving and reaching back to it's former glory.
I hereby resign from my positions of Admin and Event Host. It's been a fun ride.

If people want, I can set up a luckperms based free-op or even another gamemode on events-02 as long as its not in use?

The moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, which means Ramadan starts tonight.
For those that don’t know, Ramadan is an Islamic month in which Muslims fast from early in the day to sunset, for 30 days.
Ramadan Mubarak!

The 26th of March 1971 is a significant day in Bangladeshi history. This was the day that, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, leader of the Awami League (a political party in East Pakistan), declared independence for East Pakistan, or what would become Bangladesh. On the same day, West Pakistani forces launched Operation Searchlight. The aim of Operation Searchlight was to eliminate any West Pakistani opposition. It targeted the Hindus and Educated Individuals of Bangladesh.
Since 1971, the 26th of March has been referred to as Bangladesh’s Independence Day.
Happy Bangladesh Independence Day and Joy Bangla!
