    Objection.

If I recall correctly, knowing of your imminent indefinite ban you put out a kit filled with crash items in an attempt to get people to follow your footsteps.

Your behaviour also doesn't seem to have changed too much in the months following your ban, and your reasoning for your appeal is flawed. You actually deflected the blame if I'm reading your appeal correctly.

RedEastWood Go onto plan right now

You can't, it's been completely broken for like a week. Which is another problem, we can't check how active people are if the website never works.

I personally feel we should allow votes from everyone but take votes from inactive players with a pinch of salt. Don't completely disregard them, but just make a little note that the player hasn't logged in for X days and seldom messages on the discord. If the voting is close then look at them with a bit more scrutiny.

Setting an exact activity index number one needs just doesn't feel like the right thing to do. You're blocking off a player with 2.99 activity index while allowing a player who has 3.01.. having a strict borderline is just weird.

RedEastWood I guarantee a lot of them have not played in quite a while.

And this is an important point. It takes several days of complete inactivity for ones index to actually begin to drop, and would definitely take a while to drop down to below 3.

I can understand why a vote from a player who has not been seen on the server in months should not count the same as a vote from a person who is spending a lot of time on the server with a good bit of that being at the same time as the applicant.

But I don't think completely alienating their vote is the right way to do things.

zeseryu I think Hitler was a rather unpleasant guy.. are you going to invalidate my opinion because I had no interaction with him? You shouldn't. I'm pretty informed on what he was. I've read discussions, watched documentaries and I paid attention in history class.

While I have been able to understand both sides to this argument here, this is one of the worst analogies I've seen.

You're comparing someone applying for admin on a relatively small block game server to one of the most well documented and influential historical figures in all of history.

Of course you may need to interact with one and not the other to know what they're like...

Miwojedk While true, when talking about applications especially, the only evidence really given is against the applicant. There's not enough evidence for both sides usually and I don't think I've ever seen players providing the same level of evidence (chat logs, screenshots etc) in favour of the applicant than they would against.

Of course, you can say the vouch or rec of a trusted community member is evidence alone, but I still think there's nothing like being on the server and interacting with a person at least occasionally.

I was going to suggest ban messages myself.

Makes it easier to moderate from discord. When I mute players who spam or do other chat offences there's no way for any staff members on the discord to tell if they've been muted or just stopped. So I usually just say "I've muted them".

So I vouch for everything but especially ban and mute messages.

Vouch. The options you have are a kick in the teeth - half of them were clearly set by someone for a certain player (example: %user% is a %rankcolor% and a dark side worshipper) and the other half are self deprecating and/or poorly worded. This isn't on.

If ops aren't being given complete ability to set the login message they want, at least give more options to make the 2500 coin purchase somewhat desirable.

Edit: realised I've regurgitated half of your points

Edit2: there is a rather hefty character limit on custom login messages. Namely, 100 characters. This means ones login message can be.. disruptive to say the least. While it's not much of an issue at the moment, I'd say ops might need a lower character limit of they are given free reign of their message.

So I am going to vote again and object. Not only for panthers reasoning but a bit of my own.

Each and every single person on the indefinite bans list has one thing in common - the community agreed that they are unfit to continue playing on the server for an indefinite amount of time - most likely forever.

Sure, most of the list could write an appeal and get accepted. But the appeal they've written usually would show whether or not the person has or has not changed - if they don't appeal we should assume they haven't. For all we know the serial troll we are about to unban is just doing the same thing on other servers and has no signs of changing.

What's more, every case is different as I said in my neutral response. Plenty of these indefinite bans were posted and voted on by players who may not remember the player perfectly or may be inactive now.

The plugins been in for a while and I noticed one possible issue with a few blocks being broken without any coreprotect log given after a few people found out it was in and messed around with it

I might need to play around with the plugin a bit more but the plugin was labeled as a possible cause when I brought it up in adminchat
