    I think the issue at hand here is that Ria is trans. I get it's a joke, but it's in poor taste. I was going to say something and probably should have done beforehand, there is a bit of an issue here.


    Continually telling a trans woman that she is a man, joke or not, is not something you should be doing. I completely understand your intentions aren't malicious but I hope this clear things up. We shouldn't cancel anyone, but I hope this clears things up respectfully.

    So this might not even be necessary, but my laptop seems to be completely fucked and require a repair, and thus this could hamper my activity for the following month depending on how long it will take to repair. I will attempt to engage as much as I can through forums, discord, and the minechat app.

  • Formally implemented OP vanish, with some catches

    I'm not too sure. While I wouldn't be too against the idea if it already existed, I can't think of any reason why an operator would need to vanish besides nefarious methods. It's not that it would be hard for admins to deal with, but rather I can see people using it to give other operators a hard time more often than not.


    The only possible reason I can see where an op would use vanish is if they wanted to help look at a possibly disruptive player if there aren't any staff online to do it instead. There's a few operators who do that to help out the staff, and it's one thing I used to do myself as an op. But that is a large minority - I see quite a few players attempting /vanish around the time they're trying to troll or other things - I'm in favour of invisible disguises because for the most part, the only players who know about them are too experienced on the server to bother with kinds of stuff.

    I believe to the best of my knowledge that it has been stated since. I wasn't around, or very active in the servers affairs around this November time, being a mere discord lurker. However in times more recent Ryan has referred to the server as a network rather than just a standalone server and the possibility of expansion into a larger network with more servers has definitely been brought up in recent months.

    So I don't want to like.. completely remove the votes of more inactive players or whatever, but I do think the inactivity should at least be taken into account. Not like completely invalidating them if their activity index is 2.99 instead of 3, but rather just take it into account when weighing up what they're saying and stuff. What I'm trying to say is very hard to put into words right now so I apologise.
