  • TFM reactions completely breaking the server.

    Not entirely sure on the technical issues behind this, but recently there has been an issue with TFM which seems to appear from nowhere and force a server restart.


    Two reaction bars will appear simultaneously and without prior warning, and upon this happening the server will continually send the same error to telnet every single second. The first time this occurred on my watch, I was able to complete both reactions, but the second time, one of the reactions was incompletable and frozen on the top of the screen.


    The continued error message seems to have the added effect of eventually gridlocking the telnet log as well, rendering even TFM reloads unresponsive, and a restart is the only option to resolve this issue. Here's some screenshots of the occurrence both in game and via telnet in case someone with knowledge might be able to work with either of these.

    I vouch on the basis that NSFW warps remain allowed, but they just cannot be advertised publically (and privately, I'd like it to be a violation of the rule if someone who doesn't wanna see an nsfw warp is tricked into seeing it.)


    There are over 2,500 warps and in order for this to be enforced staff members would have to go through every one pretty consistently. Which is a hassle if there ever was one.


    I'm sorry, but cost benefit analysis says this is just not a good idea to outlaw something that's very hard to moderate.

    This was a really nice read. Made me smile a lot. Especially actually getting a mention in one of these.


    I would go as far to say that there isn't a better member of this community than you, especially considering what you've done for me personally. Not only in the rec which I'm still honoured by but also in just generally being there for me whenever I need something.


    You deserve everything you've got, and more.

    So this is far from what I would've wanted to see on a Saturday afternoon on a Minecraft server. I doubt anyone would feel anything but regret after scanning their eyes over those aforementioned words.


    But I don't think it's entirely justified to ban without warning, especially considering these were the only two messages sent. And thus I'm going to vouch for the release of the ban unless there is something I'm not seeing here.

    Well I mean my first conversation with him resulted in me muting him from the hub and then Ryan banning him from the hub. While my initial objection was just due to me having no evidence of any change from the short post, he doesn't look to have been too improved.
