↩ RedEastWood the username is StaidChannel708. They apparently registered on September 6 2020 (when plan data began, so likely they had played before then), had a half hour session in June and an hour this morning as their total activity on the server, but this is all activity after the indefinite ban seems to have been added.

Object, it's been less than a month and your attitude on your request was unacceptable.
However on the forums since then, you've been reasonable enough. Keep that up and I'd be more inclined to vouch next time.

↩ batchest It's not a criminal issue, nor is it a crime. The illegality means that the party of whom had their NDA violated could sue the offending party for any potential damages caused by leaking information that they agreed not to leak. That's down to Ryan, but I doubt any more action will be taken.

↩ batchest a non disclosure agreement is
Quotea contract by which one or more parties agree not to disclose confidential information that they have shared with each other as a necessary part of doing business together.
And a contract is
QuoteA contract is a legally binding promise made between at least 2 parties in order to fulfil an obligation in exchange for something of value. Contracts can either be written, oral, or a combination of both.
The NDA signed was protected by law. Violating the NDA broke the law.

so does your ban appeal

↩ videogamesm12 Object for above reasoning. I'm halfway through the log though, and it's very entertaining. Might send some highlights later.
Code[15:21:49] [Async Chat Thread - #187/INFO]: helper Skogheim ? wtf is /warp !!!!redeastwood [15:22:12] [Async Chat Thread - #187/INFO]: helper Skogheim ? its calling him a pigAlso I'd like to say that had you not spun a story and acted as if you were completely innocent, your appeal probably would've been accepted since you were banned over 7 months ago. But nope, you decide to show us that you haven't changed one bit from the player making all of those remarks on the server.

If my memory serves, me, there's a reason why we use egive rather tham mc:give. I'm not too sure though and may be wrong, as I can't remember the reason.

Delivery service support isn't exactly instantaneous, and by the time the situation is resolved and the fact it was delivered to the wrong address was confirmed, it could be a good half hour on its own depending on a variety of factors. Then you've got to make and deliver that entire customer's order from scratch (not counting the fact that many restaurants are usually not in a position to be handing out free food). Now, aside from McDonald's, the other delivery services that operate in my area offer around a 45-60 minute wait time from the order is sent until the food arrives through your door at peak dinner time hours, although this could be as low as 25-35 on a quiet day.
So the customer is either going to get a refund, making them either buy food from somewhere else or empty the cupboards for something to eat (on top of an already lengthy delay of sorting it all out), or wait up to an hour and a half for their food to arrive. Again, this hour and a half is likely on top of the potential hour it already took to deliver the food to the wrong address, so it could be well in excess of 2 hours from they placed their order.
Can't forget the delivery driver will likely face unnecessary repercussions from delivering the food to the wrong address despite the person whose door they knocked on accepting it, as well as the restaurant, most of which operate on a slim enough profit margin, losing out on money and the time spent making two orders.
-
Unless there's a serious issue, most of the time the person just knocked on the wrong door. Feel like it would be a huge dick move to just take your next door neighbor's food.

You suck so much, but at the same time you're a really genuine and caring person who means well for everyone.

I really like the stuff you do with your guild. The roleplay, the lore, it's all incredibly intricate and well thought through. And it definitely doesn't get the spotlight that it should.

Well, I suppose it's good to get it out there.
Although many of you already know, yesterday I was informed by a member of management that the store I am working at will be closing within a few months. My mum has worked there for 19 years, and I've worked there for 2. It's always been a part of my life, while the pay was great and the job was fantastic it was more than that for me, and especially in recent weeks I could safely say that I love my job.
These past few weeks I've been gaining more responsibilities. I am the sole person in charge with the weekly till counts and I've been beginning training on running the store - that is, managing who goes where and when, organising breaks, dealing with customer service issues like refunds, delegating tasks such as cleaning out bins and leaving back left behinds, all while keeping an eye on self scan. It's a responsibility that, while it doesn't come with any change in pay, I loved.
And I can't lie, not only am I devastated that the job I've come to genuinely love is being pulled from my grasp, but I'm also scared that any future job I get won't utilise the skills I've worked for two years to develop. I'm worried that I'll end up at a random petrol station, standing at a till for 8 hours on weekends and serving the local junkies. I'm worried that the leadership skills and confidence I've worked so hard to gain and develop over these past few years are going to go to waste from an employer who just sees student workers as disposable. I'm not saying I expect to walk into a management role, but it's going to be hard to find an employer willing to give any responsibility to a student working only weekends.
So yeah, not doing great. This news all broke yesterday but I'm still.. eh.

↩ RandomCommentator resending my post since you didn't seem to read past the first sentence.
Quotemany indefinite ban requests are formalities, consisting of players blatantly trying to crash the server, or players who have griefed many times. For the more subjective ones, admins usually discuss whether or not it’s a good idea to post them in the respective channels before posting them.

↩ @'billy7oblos' sometimes even hack someone,
I do not know a lot about this stuff. But I'm pretty certain that an IP address alone cannot be used to hack into or access any devices connected to that network. A few quick internet searches corroborated this.

Don't wanna be that guy but it hit 700 a few weeks ago not long after the bot thing was added, and has sort of gravitated 695+ since then

There was one. To answer your question, indefinite ban requests are admin only and we have to be familiar with the rules before becoming an admin.

Surely at this point this is powerposting.

A player bypassed their self requested indefinite ban several weeks ago and on advice from the ban manager, we re-banned them on each occasion they bypassed as by their own will they wanted to be banned from the server. The ban was not held against them in any regard as a punishment per se, however, and all accounts were unbanned following the lifting of the self request.
Edit: Would also like it to be made clear that the player was informed he could message the ban manager for an unban before he bypassed.
