Vouch. You were an active and engaging member of the server before your ban, as much as you were idiotic to get banned, you accepted your fate and took everything rather well. Welcome back.

Firstly YouTube implemented a new comments system several years ago where dislikes didn't actually do anything for anyone but the person who disliked.

Then, more recently, YouTube allowed creators to completely hide the like and dislike counts on their videos. Sure, it was an option, but many videos which would attract a large number of dislikes had the votes disabled to hide the dislike count.

Now the situation presents itself as this (I disagree with most of this going forward) - generally, videos with a large amount of dislikes published by creators have the votes disabled to hide these. And generally, the main videos where you can see the dislike count, it's usually <5% of the votes and rather negligible.

Now I don't feel the situation is justifiable, but it's not unreasonable, given that dramatic oversimplified and generalised information, that someone might say the dislike button isn't really needed.

I don't believe any politics is involved in this, it doesn't matter whose sitting in the oval office - YouTube has been slowly moving towards this for years and it shouldn't be a massive surprise.

Yeah this is why I'm not too bothered. The system was already in place - if someone got a ton of dislikes they just didn't show ratings. So the shit clickbait or bonafide scam content was still able to be watched without people knowing it was shit. The only time you could actually see dislikes this past year or so was when the video had like 99% likes anyway, so the dislikes didn't matter.

Tbh the seeds were sewn for this years ago when they made the dislike button on comments arbitrary.

I'm sure for even the majority of you who don't follow football, Messi is a name known to most. He's in my opinion the greatest footballer to ever grace the game, capable of mesmerising magic that makes you question the laws of physics.

It's just not deserved. Messi was still a top, top player, deserving of 2nd place, but I believe that the actual 2nd place, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski should've pipped him to the post.

In a standard 34 game Bundesliga season, a striker would be having a good season if he scored 15 goals. That's a respectable tally. A great season would be 20 goals in those 34 matches.

Lewandowski missed 5 games due to injury, playing 29 league matches.

He scored 41 goals. Forty one. A league record, backing up his goals with a Bundesliga title. Nobody was touching him, this year, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, Messi did fantastically to be La Liga top scorer and help Barcelona to secure a 3rd place league finish. But he was poor in the Champions League (whilst Lewa kept banging them in) and had a very, very rocky start at PSG.

So yeah, I'm a little pissed off. What pisses me off more is Jorginho finishing 3rd.. when he wouldve been lucky to hit top 10.

Okay, so this is a bit of a necropost. But it's relevant to the topic and better than making a new thread in my eyes.

With the addition of a plugin for warnings which yknow, like the video embedding plugin, has nothing to do with liking or replying, the buttons swapped back. Now, again, neither of these plugins should have been playing around with the button placement.

So looks like I'm going to have to spend another two weeks learning the old button layout. Yippee! Can't wait until another random plugin swaps them back.

I owned my own roleplay server for several months, and helped moderate on a few run by friends. Aside from that, nothing much.

In my short time administering the Minecraft server, I've developed several key skills in the field of general moderation, including objectivity as well as deescalation, and with my activity on the servers discord and previous experience with my own discord server and helping out with others, I believe I would be suited for the role.

As aforementioned, I'm active both in server administration and engagement within the discord chat channels, and even when I'm not directly online, accessible via PM's. I'm able to handle many situations with as little bias and as much clarity as possible to ensure an objective outcome.

Back on topic, I vouch for reinstatement. I don't feel the conduct he demonstrated was appropriate for an admin, but I also don't believe it should affect master builder standing.
