There's the past, but everything I've mentioned is recent enough to be severely concerning. These types of impulsive behaviours seem like ragequits to me at times, and when you have the dangerous admin commands at your disposal and the responsibility that comes with serving the community, I don't think you can handle it.

I'm sorry, but I would rather you improve consistently and for a good amount of time before I feel you're trusted with the type of responsibility that comes with being an admin.

Can you be a little bit clearer on this? It seems like you're telling me your friend got banned in the first place but you also talk as if you own both accounts.

And for what it's worth, your ban was over a year ago so the ban evasion is not a big deal now. I'd just like you to be clear and truthful.

I encourage you to rethink this decision.. right now you aren't exactly in people's good books but if there's one thing about this community - we are forgiving.

Take some time to recollect yourself and your thoughts and maybe reconsider going away for ever.

Look mate you put a lot of fucking effort into this and it made me genuinely happy and excited for this going forward. It didn't turn out as expected but I want you to keep your head held high. It's not your fault the event was ruined by the immature individuals who played it and bitched about something they already knew was happening. You did all you could, and I'm proud of you.

He also took things into his own hands without permission from Lyicx (the person actually hosting the event). It's that lack of maturity that I don't feel is capable of hosting and managing events.

This comment by Red on another application applies here fantastically . He has showed a lack of both problem solving and leadership.

Here's a situation which sums up my viewpoint.

If Player001 logs onto the server, sends a grabify link to Gamer001 to get his IP address and then posts that IP address into the server chat, he will be promptly banned by Staff001 and the chat will be cleared.

If Gamer001 then goes and crashes the server using an assortment of minecarts, Staff001 puts that same IP up on the forums for all to see.

In both of these situations, Staff001 is doing their job correctly and by the book. Yet these two situations have varying levels of respect to the privacy of the IP address.

Right so with respect I've yet to see a valid reason against this - the suggestion has nothing to do with making discord mandatory.

I'm approving this suggestion on the basis that it makes the process of reinstatement smoother for all those involved, at little cost.

To be extra clear - discord is not mandatory to become admin, or reinstate to a former administrative position.

So the numbers have been counted.

18 vouches (technically 1 objection as well, but it seemed to be a joke). Either way, this application is well above the threshold to be approved.

This application didn't get as much feedback as I would've liked in hindsight but all 7 of the votes are vouches and from what I have seen from you in the months I've been playing on the server I should probably have vouched myself.

But I'm delighted to say that this application is approved.

Earlier this afternoon. I had to manually ban every single one of them from hub after locking down the server.

Now I'm not too reactionary to push anything major, but this suggestion does potentially sort out that flaw. We got botted really bad in November/Decemberish and were in adminmode for several hours. Having at least some way to mitigate the effects of one is an idea I can get behind. I'm not wanting to wrap the entire house in bubble wrap in case someone has a fall, but it saves some poor sod sitting and manually banning dozens upon dozens of accounts every time someone decides to fuck with us.
