Firstly, i kinda dislike the idea of walling features off behind playtime for whatever reason. It goes against the idea of this server in my eyes.

And secondly I honestly believe this may actually be counterintuitive. Harmful exploits can be done with such a large variety of items, many with legitimate purposes, that we'd have to block a seriously large amount of stuff to the point that legitimate players would be put off. And all that.. for 20 minutes? The people doing this could quite easily just afk for 20 minutes after joining or set up some bots to have a few alts log on for 20 min during quiet times. It'll make administration more difficult since it'll be harder to keep track of things - instead of keeping an eye on a suspicious player, we would have to set a timer for half an hour and then keep an eye on them.

And I do say so myself, but the situation that caused this suggestion was dealt with very well by the admins online at the time. We knew who to watch and we knew how to deal with the person - you can't ban someone for creating a crash chunk until they've made it. Not much more could've been done, and this suggestion is akin to disallowing block interactions for half an hour because we got a person nukering spawn a few times.

So yeah, I believe this will hurt player retention, make administration more complicated, go against the nature of the server and wouldn't even deal with the issue, so I object.

In my opinion, there shouldn't be a radius. When we had a radius, people just built a penis wall 251 blocks around spawn, "sexy build follow this path" signs and it generally didn't fix the problem - a giant depiction of something inappropriate could be built 500 blocks away and be completely visible from spawn. Alternatively, something much smaller and hidden could be 100 blocks away and completely fine.

If you are old enough to access our services in your country, but not old enough to have authority to consent to our terms, your parent or guardian must agree to our terms on your behalf.

This is the section you're presumably basing this thread off of, but all this is saying is that if you are below the age of 18 and therefore a minor, it's your parents responsibility to accept the terms of service for you. So in most cases, someone from the age of 13-17 falls into this. In Holland, it's 16-17.

You still need to be above the minimum age to use discord in your country however, which Noah is not.

Some resources to look at chat logs wouldnt be a bad idea as well so we aren't relying on discord as well. They could just be logged to a text file and if it's just the raw chat data like we see on the discord then it shouldn't be too hard to do.

matscalle chat on server without being on it and without needing discord

Unfortunately that will make cause some problems, since 95% of the messages people send in the discord are in server chat, it makes the entire discord punishment system useless, as well as in-game mutes and bans for chat offences. The suggestion you made for this at the time was denied as well.

As noted above, application has been retracted.

You may reapply in 40 days - since the application would've been reviewed 10 days from now.

I'd like to note that just because one hasn't personally seen a player online doesn't entirely mean they're an unfit candidate. It's entirely possible for two active users to have never met due to their timezones. There's no activity threshold to apply - but it's generally encouraged that applicants try and keep around or above the 12 hour per month threshold. Even then, there are 720 hours in a month.

The discord and plan pages exist, both of which can help one work out a lot about a player via searching chat logs on the server chat to see how they interact with people and using the latter to see detailed information on their activity and session information. If you're not familiar with a player it might be best to browse these resources for a few minutes instead of objecting simply because you haven't met them.

You did provide proof at the time that your age was 12 and your birthday was in late march from what I can remember so since the proof was already there I vouch.

Looking back the main reason that was denied was because I don't think people (including myself) understood that the colour changes were only visible to the player who changed them.

I think a lot of the objections came from players thinking the tab list would look like a rainbow to everyone.

Tbh, I vouch, as long as the default colours are generally accepted I don't entirely see an issue with this.

So again, this one lasted a little longer than I would've liked to and I do apologise for that. My personal situation has been rocky these few weeks but we're looking a bit stable now so I can have a proper gander.

So first things first, your timezone is good. You cover an area that still does, from what I've seen, need to be covered, and as you're already a staff member on the freedom server you do have the firsthand experience there.

I will note that in this position you have a good bit more flexibility and freedom when it comes to deciding on which sanctions to give. As others have noted, there is a bit of trigger happiness there at times. It's not a pressing enough issue for me to completely flip the verdict in this case since you've turned it around from that initial warning. And again, this is only the hub server.

So this application is approved - welcome to the team!

Fuck, I've left this longer than what I would've liked to. Apologies.

Anyways to get into it I've had a little bit of a think about this one. You forgot to put your timezone in here but I'm pretty sure from interacting with you and such that you're in and around the same timezone as myself in the UK so what I'm saying will be based on that.

So the slight issue I had was that out of the 4 hub moderators, myself included, 3 of us are around that same 1-2 hour timezone bracket, which is a bit of a high concentration.

However since there are still only a small number of us and since issues that require attention have been cropping up I feel like it's not a bad idea to at least have some numbers since the inability to rely on a small handful of people to deal with issues on the hub is exactly why this role is a thing.

So, with positive feedback from the community and no real issues from my end of things, I'm going to approve this application. Welcome to the team!

ThanatosXYZ I did this a few days ago as well and no one had any problem,so a warning as I said won’t hurt

That's probably because staff members don't watch every players actions 24/7. It was noticed not due to the server or any players crashing as a result of it but rather it was just found by the admin as they went about the place.

ThanatosXYZ My intention was not to hurt the server and I didn’t as you said.

You were using chests labelled and described as crash chests... it's not hard to gauge ones intent from actions like that. Just because it didn't work doesn't mean the intent wasnt still there.

The community guidelines which you applied to help enforce clearly state how you should be respectful of this server and the members of it, and trying to use crash items does not abide by that.

ThanatosXYZ banned.Plus, there is ZERO evidence I did anything at all to harm the server.

    Correct!

You didn't harm the server whatsoever. However, you tried to, by using the "Copy me" crash chests commonly seen on the Wurst client. (These don't work at all anywhere)

Here's the evidence that the administrator in question used for the ban.

I'm no mathematician but that's a little more than no proof.

ThanatosXYZ I THOUGHT he knew what he was doing.

He did know what he was doing, and did an excellent job.

I've already had a few pressing concerns about your lack of apparent presence on the server, lack of activity and the small issue of you not properly adhering to the pre application checklist despite you having agreed to its terms. It was only a profile picture, but you did agree to have read and followed them.

However as other admins are about to provide evidence for, you have just been banned for attempting to harm the server using wurst crash chests. This in my eyes is completely unacceptable especially just hours after applying.

You're closer to the indefinite bans list than the saconfig list right now. Object.

@'ginlang | whenyoufart' I think the main issue with those is that they haven't updated the prices as the games economy has inflated. At the start of GTAO, the money you got with the top shark card was enough for you to buy anything you could feasibly want at the time. It was an alright deal in the days of repeating rooftop rumble for less than 500k an hour.

Nowadays the new methods of making money mean the cards are useless though.
