don't use sigma: a psa

    So, not long ago, I reinstalled the Sigma hacked client.


    I like the design of Jello and more specifically the in-built music player, and just the general look and how clean it is. I played on it for 2-3 days and prior to this, I used no in-game modifications apart from the bog-standard optifine. That was all fine until recently I was playing on a private server with venomsx and he pointed out to me that my skin had changed, and that he liked it.


    So I logged onto hypixel, only to hastily get kicked for being logged in from another location. I got a little glimpse, and it looked like I was in the middle of a game of bedwars. I eventually got in and realized I was in a party. I decided to chat to the guys in the party and ask them questions and here's how that went


    I soon came to realize that Sigma had grabbed my login data, and sold it off to some alts website. Luckily the guys were nice enough & didn't actually hack on my account but I reckon that was more luck of the draw rather than anything else.


    So yeah, TL;DR, don't use Sigma, and if you are, don't use an account you care about on it.

    well, there is a chance that sigma might token grabbing discord too. so change your password anyways I think the devs of sigma is backdooring people. or you downloaded some copy of sigma that contains backdoor

    @fionn#8849 then yeah it's most likely to be backdoored. some people were saying it's a "rat" and bitcoin miner rat gives sigma developers/owners ability to control your pc in the background including downloading and uploading files. so if you setup firewalls you will be good or run a virus scan


    PS: rat will be installed on your pc, even if you uninstall the client there can be rats running on your pc

    i have used sigma a couple of times (terrible, but not the point im trying to make), but after reading this im never touching sigma again, ill stick with fabric, or if im using a client, inertia

    Had experience with Sigma, the only thing good I guess was the Jargon feature.


    I had experience with MY account going through the same thing that fionn did, prior to using Sigma. My skin got changed to some pink 'cute' girl shit so I reverted it and changed passwords as well. If its closed source I wouldn't use it.

    theres that one video i found on youtube like these two developers of hacked clients installing malware or some shit on their clients because one party tried to steal (?) something called crystal aura. wurst 2 and some other client

    So moral of the story, don't use hacked clients or if u do make sure it is an offical one and that has been verified to not have any of that shit.

    Chances are your account was sold as "semi-full access" or "Non full access" for a few cents for kids to hack on hypixel. NFAs can have skin changes in launcher while SFAs can have skin and username changes on minecraft.net, if you dont have security questions.
