upload.systems, a ShareX image host that was used by several TF players and staff members, is shutting down. A few days ago, the people running it announced that they are going to be sunsetting the service in two months. You will not be able to upload anything to their servers in about a month from now.

A lot of you may have noticed recently that the service has been more and more unreliable - this isn’t something we’re proud of but being completely honest we (Alex and Dan) haven’t had the motivation or time to dedicate to the project over the past months.
For this reason, it’s with a heavy heart that we’re announcing today that upload.systems will be entering a sunsetting period - what this means is that shortly we’ll be shutting down the project but want to give people a chance to collect and download their data before it’s all deleted.
Over the past few years of working on this project we’ve had an amazing time working on the project and we're so thankful to everyone who’s helped moderate, subscribed and just used the platform - it’s been so fulfilling to work on but it’s time for something new. We want to thank Alfie (pay) specifically for bringing us on board and for making this all possible back in 2020. We’ve made some amazing friends over the past few years and we hope some of you guys have too!
In terms of what will happen from now, the first thing we’ll do is cancel renewal for all active subscriptions - the site will be active for at least one more month so you’ll get the full benefits of your subscription. We plan to also keep the email service running free of charge for people who are subscribed - we understand you may be using your emails for accounts etc and wouldn’t want you to lose access to them. Over the next two months we’ll keep the site up to allow people to archive and download their files but there will be a hard cut off on this - we can’t continue to host files forever in case people miss this deadline and I hope you guys can appreciate this. The way we plan to do this is by continuing as normal for the first month, and then for month 2 we will move to archive/download only.
After this two month period, all data we hold relating to running upload.systems will be deleted. This includes all user data. If you fail to archive your data or make a GDPR request within this period you will not be able to recover it once we shut down.
If anyone has any questions relating to this, feel free to ping Alex or Dan in the server or email us at contact@upload.systems. If anyone wants to reach out personally you can also contact me at hello@alexgokhale.com or dan@dantarr.dev.
TLDR
- upload.systems is shutting down in 2 months.
- After the first month uploads will be blocked and the site will be in download only mode.
- Thank you all for the support over the years.
- We will try to make the site as stable as possible during this period so everyone has a chance to extract their data.
