Remove player conduct reports

  • Recently I’ve noticed that the Player Conduct Report section isn’t used much as we now have /report in-game as well as the ability to get an admin from Discord.

I think it’s time to remove this section of the forum and the relevant section of the admin application that asks about it. It’s not used much anymore and at times when you’re filling one report in, an admin has come on and already fixed it. This is what happened with a couple of my reports last year resulting in a small bit of drama.

If we do remove it, I’d like it if we could do something where we can report offline players. I believe a suggestion is open for this.

  • Object, most admins do not check the /report (While offline) and if we do, its probably too late - Forum reports help us when players provide context & proof.

Players are more likely to be punished if they were reported on the forums.

What do you mean by too late? If you don't check the reports in Discord then what is the point in having the system?

It is much easier to report in-game over the forums, as many OPs will probably not create a forum account to report grief

Me and James regularly check /report. We also respond very quickly.

Perhaps player conduct reports shouldn't be removed, but rather the whole process be more streamlined.

  • Forum reports and the ability to report offline players with /report are not mutually exclusive. I see benefits to having both because one has detailed information while the other is quick and easy.

  • i think forum reports give more context to a situation then /report. i dont think it hurts to have them around even if they are not used as much.
