You can use a shop vac to get rid of dust, though it might suck off some of the capacitors in the process

Personally, I prefer compressed air. Especially for tasks like this; I think it would be preferable than risking sucking off the capacitors.

Either your shop vac suxx hard or the manufacturer did a shit soldering job if this is a potential risk.
