Disable `prevent-proxy-connections`

  • The raids are over, they most likely arent going to come back, and this setting is SO FUCKING ANNOYING.

I can't use a fucking VPN because of this half of the time, even if I log out and back in. My bot (which is essentially just a joke) also cannot join because it relies on a proxy so I dont fuck my playerdata. My friend remixfusion (___fusion) said earlier he had trouble joining because of this (he uses a proxy)

  • This wasn't enabled due to the raids and at the moment isn't planned to be disabled.

  • Huge object. prevent-proxy-connections=true, at the moment, is the only thing one of the things that's keeping Mosley and his friends from coming back and raiding. Just because they're stopped for a while doesn't mean they won't happen again. Also, it's not just to stop the raids, it also stops most alt stores that use a custom authenticator in their tracks. It's keeping ban evaders from evading as well.

You and your friend (remixfusion) seem to be the only ones encountering issues due to this option being enabled. All you need to do is make requests to the authentication server with the same IP you're connecting to the server with. Nobody else, except you and your friend, has reported any issue joining the server with this system.

Fix it, ecause IPVanish and whatever Remix uses is obviously broken if I can log-on with my VPN (Mullvad).

Disabling this option lowers the server's security.

just a heads-up, it's not. it was already enabled when the raids started. i had started dropping traffic from the ips they were using.

A triumphant roar echoes from atop the Seat of the Aspects as Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legact is formed.

  • Personally, it's prevent proxy connections, not prevent akefu raids. While it was initially suggested to make the raids harder, it has the added bonus of making ban bypassing in general more difficult. You and your friend are not the only VPN users on this server - many people use them, and this is the only reported false positive.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

  •   taah He said "we didn't enable it because of the raids but for another reasons". This means the setting is enabled.

Regarding the original suggestion: Use a different VPN instead. I don't have an issue connecting to the server with my VPN, so if you're running into issues it's likely an issue related to the VPN you're using.
