From what I can gather, the clients only users are members of Moles LLC as it's a private client.

And as pointed above, this seems to just be code from discords rich presence.

This is the same reason why DeviousMod (also private) also became public a while ago.

As multiple people have said in this thread before me, the "proof" you shared is just a poor implementation of Discord RPC. Poor, because there are already libraries for Java that do a much better job.

IPC stands for "inter process communication". This is how Discord does its rich presence (RPC). There is no way, to my knowledge, for your token or login information to be stolen by this.

However, I have no doubt in my mind that there's something else in Shadow client doing something devious, to say the least.

You should tell your friend that he needs to learn how to identify malware better and he needs to fix the fucking theming on his Java decompiler. Plus, like, the code is (or was but you can still find it) on Github, so why even use a decompiler?

Your friend being hacked is probably nothing less than an unfortunate coincidence.

the source code to shadow client is pretty much public, feel free to look through this github repo. it's a pretty shady client but it's not a RAT.
