Give MB title back to these people

  • Some historical or great builders have been stripped of their Master Builder title because of their inactivity, or because they opted out of the building team.

However, after a community poll, the policies have been readjusted to make it a recognition title with no obligation to engage in server projects.

I think it's only fair to officially recognise the skills and work those people put onto TF by giving them the title back, if they agree to:

    • @"Feueristic"#27 I've forgotten he already reinstated
    • @"RoboEx"#62
    • @"ItzDerpDavid"#146
    • lovespoopscoop a.k.a. princelance
    • @"Lykhant"#9
    • @"Tozzit"#28

    And whoever else I missed

  • IMHO there needs to be a difference between "Recognised for building skill" and "Working actively on TF Projects" and I think the fact we've yo yo'd between those for some time now is what's caused these issues.

I would prefer us make the split, and whichever one is "Recognised for building skill" these individuals are added to rather than blindly adding them to the current MB Team in the current format it is.

  • As this post shows the fact that the meaning of "Mb" goes by the community vote made, I simply vouch, as it fits by it.
A bit off topic, but I don't think that the meaning of mb should change again, however it's not my decision.

  •   DragonSlayer2189 Yeah t'was sort of my point. Think we just need to separate the two things once and for all to put a stop to the madness.

  • I'll be thinking about this for a while. On one hand, it is true that MB as it is now is a title for good building and not "people who help us build", but on the other hand these players have not logged on for a long while, and when we give them MB they might feel obligated to build due to pressure, if they are infact still playing minecraft.

Perhaps I'll talk to the ones who I can find and ask them about this, their builds and their history on here and also research it myself, then i'll add the ones that are recognised for building skill.

I don't want to seperate MB into two ranks officially, but we'll see if I can get a system in that tracks who is actively working/can work on projects.

  • thanks for mentioning me, and I think it should be a semi permanent title, as in you keep it unless you do something pretty bad which you get stripped of it for, and I think i speak for some of these here when i say that we still like building now and then but we just dont have enough time for a fully fledged project or being on the server all the time.

I remember casually suggesting that, once approved, the MBs could receive an invite to join a separate, more discreet official builders team, in a similar fashion to how Event Hosts are handled.

  • I see no reason not to add these people back, at the time, I had removed them because at that time MB was only defined as those who would help with build projects and stuff and so I opted to go through the list and purge MBs who weren’t active. However, now that it is more defined, there’s not a reason for them not to be given back their role
