    ↩  taah The shady way the discord tos works is troubling and something that could usually get me or Ryan's account suspended, it's a bigger risk then other rules mentions since a minor is involved, Child Protection Laws is what stopping discord from lowering the number and that's something I legit wanna stay away from, last thing I want is to be called up for allowing minors in, we started to only ban people who listed their age, for example, if someone said they are 12, we ban for an year and so on.

    Just something that I don't wanna deal with, I already was contacted by discord for it before and that shit is scary.

    The more I looked into those laws being enforced the more sick I got of it, I understand that TF is no longer owned by a private person in their own home but a company that is at risk of such law violations, I have no idea how to work it out between making the server actually be a fun server without those stupid laws up my ass then again, it's shady and risky.

    I help run a partnered server and we frankly don't do anything about underage users- it's not our job and discord should be enforcing it better. Discord also does say not to stream copyright laws, and nobody here has said streaming videos from youtube differs from streaming copyrighted content, but apparently you're streaming it as well. To be honest, I don't care, discord TOS can go smd, lol.

    Discord is no doubt stupid when comes to TOS enforcement reasons why I didn't wanna mention it in the DCP because if they can't enforce their own rules, why should I? Guess I'm only trying to make the big man happy without testing the waters too much.

    I use to be the Staff Manager in a big debate server when stage discovery was a thing, it was around 30,000 members and we didn't enforce anything of what's happening here, I'm looking for ways to go back to just one conduct policy and still be respectful to discord's shitty guidelines.

    alternatively, if you want to actually use the YouTube feature, it's available via this bot https://top.gg/bot/830155764865695757 (official site for the bot seems to be non-functional atm) -- it typically will block copyrighted material from being streamed through it.

    The reasoning you provided would be valid if Nick was actually streaming on YouTube, but as Luke cited, the likelihood of the stream actually being on YouTube is extremely low (From Luke himself: this has no bearing on the situation. all we have to confirm this is your word - all you’ve done is say “no I’m innocent I used youtube” but you’ve provided no reason for us to believe so). This isn't even mentioning the possibility of there being pornographic/NSFW scenes in this, which would obviously be a bannable issue by itself.

    Why do your server's rules matter on TotalFreedom? It's stupid to uphold another community's rules and expectations despite TotalFreedom having its own rules.

    I think the majority of us are upset because it shows Nick being hypocritical. Nick has banned users before for violations of copyright and piracy, even stating that Miasmus's ban will be one of the last accepted appeals for copyright infringements. Let's not forget that Nick violated his own rules doing this, showing that he's aware of the consequences for this behavior...

    This is literally a violation of United States and United Kingdom law. Nick should be held to a higher standard than any past instance because he's literally the manager of the discord, he's meant to know what's against the rules and what's not against the rules.

    Given the significant amount of evidence provided, and the significance of the evidence provided, there is little to no reason as to why Nick has not been sanctioned yet. In fact, the ‘little’ reason is what could be undisclosed evidence.

    People want answers, and they’re not getting them, so they’re trying to fight for them. Posts like yours don’t help, at all. If you’d like a thread locked use the allocated feature for that.

    This thread was created to bring a light to Nick's situation, I don't see how it's interfering with the admins' work in any way.

    The point is the original poster (in this case Petya) believed that no sanctions would be put against Nick from management, so he created this thread because the situation should be discussed openly to reach a final decision.
