well, i know what i'll NOT be installing anytime soon.
-
time to die
-
downgrade to windows 10 while you still can
-
I am so glad to have moved to linux last year, I don’t have to deal with this.
-
OH HELL NO
-
why is this bad?
-
NO.
File Explorer is on track for beginning to look like times square with ads being implemented. I don't need to be seeing ads while accessing my files. More reasons to not upgrade to such a shitty OS. Windows 10 LTSC all the way.

could someone PLEASE MAKE A WAY FOR US TO DELETE THOSE
im going to buy a gaming pc soon and i dont want that shit -
why are people so pressed it's literally just one pop-up
i understand it's "the precedent" but like people are so scared on this thread
-
↩ square it's literally just "hey this other piece of our software might be useful", I agree it ain't that deep. It's not the first time a company wants you using more of their services.
The responses to this thread make it sound like you have to watch a 30 second video about Raid: Shadow Legends before viewing files.

↩ @'anemone' im sorry, what?
i don't believe in increased performance from a bloated operating system
-
↩ @'anemone' Clearly you haven't run it on a hard disk drive.
-
how to fix:
use LTSC -
Luckily I won't be upgrading to 11 anytime soon since the music softwares that I use aren't updated yet
-
I am not going to use 11 until I have too
-
maybe i'm digressing, but I find it funny that pretty much every display computer running windows 11 i have come in contact with has a significant delay in opening applications or even just the start menu
also ↩ matscalle i'd recommend using ubuntu, it's basically a less bloated, user-friendly windows and with wine/proton (programs that run exes) it basically beats windows in every way

↩ @'Miasmus.' user-friendly windows
it's user friendly for those who understand linux, distros have the wackiest ways of having errors that are impossible to remedy without 5+ reddit threads
i wouldn't say that ubuntu is a user-friendly version of windows if windows is more user friendlyQuote↩ @'Miasmus.' wine/proton (programs that run exes) it basically beats windows in every way
how does wine, which translates windows API calls, beat native windows? especially to do with games that are either a pain in the ass to install (league on lutris) or that don't outright support linux at all?
while the work of steam and the steamdeck team is promising, proton is still in it's infancy and many games work at less desirable conditions (either not working or at lower frame rates)i would go back to linux - more specifically into VFIO - if some games I played ran near native and/or their anticheats didn't ban me for using a virtual machine
for a gaming machine linux is not your end all and be all, but neither is windows
if you are playing only minecraft then go ahead with linux (it is very fun to customize it) but otherwise just go windows lol -

Yeah, until you want to start using a version of Microsoft Office that isn't nearly 2 decades old or god forbid any other relatively modern software like paint.net.
