Addressing Derailment

  • In a recent thread, I was warned for "Derailing Threads" with 2 strikes, however, I was simply providing an example to support someone else's claim, which is in no way derailment! Total "Freedom" is sounding alot more like Total Censorship, if Ryan deletes this post and suspends me, It will only prove my point more.

  • You have no right to freedom of speech on here let's get that out the way first.

You continued a thread that was not topical to the original thread. At least in the scenario where I moderated it.

If you want to go off on a tangent, don't do it on the thread. Raise it elsewhere.

  • @'Ryan' >not topical to the original thread

Clearly you did not see I was supporting someone else's posts with relevant information, reasoning a ban isnt just "YEah I AgrEE oHi DISagrEe BLAhDA blAHda BLaDAADAdad".

  •   RedEastWood I posted support with evidence that someone(fssp) was banned for doing much less than the person who was making the appeal, as a support that the person who did the appeal shouldnt be banned more if they did more than what someone who did nothing did for an unappealable ban.

  •   Akefu-Brewer fssp and this individual were nothing alike and your entire post was another banging on the drum to unban someone who will never be unbanned.

I've re reviewed the thread and removed another additional post that I missed the first time.

I appreciate I am not 100% accurate with my moderation but I can assure you I don't care enough about what you post to actively censor you… If I wanted to censor you I'd simply indef ban you globally.

  • @'Ryan' I simply stand against this moderation, what is a staff to decide what someone else means by something? Your basically saying your gonna play dictator and decide what people think and moderate on that. Is that really what we want for TF?

  •   Akefu-Brewer It's the way a server works. This isn't a freedom of speech platform. There are rules and if you can't follow them you'll be sanctioned. I've been very clear that this isn't a democracy / free speech / whatever other thing you want to call it since before I took over.

You're welcome to have the conversations you were warned for just not on a thread that has nothing to do with what you're discussing.

  • @' 5 ' vote was places after it was declined but not locked after an amin went "we should lock this thread" from what I'm seeing.

  • @'Ryan' What fucking excuse does that make? The truth is out there, your just triggerhappy with your moderator perms just because your the owner, I did nothing wrong, shdwo did nothing wrong and feel didn't do anything wrong, it doesn't matter if someone suggests a thread to be locked, until it is locked, the discussion continues, stop being such a pissy hissy moderator just because your the owner, Ryan Wild.

  •   Akefu-Brewer If you want to have an unrelated conversation, start a new thread.

Until then grow the fuck up and stop throwing your toys out the pram every time you're called out for failing to follow the community guidelines. The thread in question was a ban appeal, having a rant about unrelated stuff on that thread, not related and not helpful.

If you don't like the way I moderate this community you're welcome to find somewhere else. The rules are applied as fairly as they can be across everyone. Stop playing the victim and get over yourself.
