Is pojav launcher safe

It's got 5 million downloads on Google play., and that github link seems to be the official one.

I have used it, and it does work but I will say that even on my pretty powerful phone it is a serious battery drain and a rather serious heat concern. It's a fun gimmick and has a nice novelty but I don't believe it's an actual way to play Minecraft. It just puts too much strain on your device.

I can confirm that it makes your phone turn into a nuclear reactor, however it does run minecraft pretty smoothly on my pixel 4a and the only gripe i have is that typing is a bit annoying in landscape mode
