i know nothing about coding at all but i think there must be a separate explanation for what's happened. Im not saying my theory is correct, im just saying there has to be a different reason. Maybe im wrong but I genuinely dont think he has done anything deliberately wrong

  •   RedEastWood From reviewing this thread, it looks like he abused a permissions bug in Network Manager. Plenty of evidence to indicate him doing NM-related stuff.

batchest i wasn’t the only one who had this incident of me being able to “kick” people..

Regardless if someone else also did it, it does not provide any justification for you to do it as well.

  • you think this mf would do an exploit in network manager and start kicking admins?

what I'm saying is why would me and fabrigonation "kick" people for the same "kicked for flying" reason.. and to be clear fabrigonation ain’t my alt

  • I would like to make an offer. If you can provide me with client-side logs from the time period you were originally banned, I can look through them to see if there is anything that would prove your innocence. Is this something we can arrange?

Flobbier I just think that saying he deliberately harmed the server is false

As I think I said on the other thread, the nature of the commands executed and the fact it targeted random players, means it's a deliberate attempt to circumvent access control and harm the server and it's community…

    Quote

batchest I’m just saying i didn’t execute the commands

I'm just saying if you didn't, then someone managed to hack your computer, Remote Desktop in and run it from your keyboard… So it's either you, or you have bigger problems.

batchest no mf conducted an investigation into this shit and went with ryans word

I did the investigation, and I proved conclusively you did this… It was explained in the other thread as others have already said.

Flobbier Again, most likely not true.

    No, 100% true.

    Quote

Flobbier I personally believe that the hacks which he had on did something without him knowing.

No hacks would be using plugin specific commands in this way because they are unique to a subset of servers, it was not a standard command set that had to be used, and the commands had to be executed in a specific way to trigger this behaviour.

    Quote

Flobbier this is the only logical explanation considering his firm take that he didnt do anything wrong

No, the other much simpler and much more likely answer is you're believing a lie.

RedEastWood Does anyone know how exactly this user kicked another member from the hub?

There were previously bugs where certain Network Manager commands weren't properly locked down, I originally thought I had found them all and blocked them in the freedom server, but I missed some less well known ones. We've fully patched the issue now by changing how NM works on the Freedom server, so it can't be exploited going forward.

I'm happy to be proved wrong, If someone can provide a better explanation, I'm open to it. But from where I sit, the user executed those commands because it's tracked back to the UUID…

  •   Ivan A few people exploited this issue at the same time with different reasons and messages. It's why it's pretty clear it wasn't a rogue script or something as not all messages are the same or are even grouped the same…

  •   Ivan I don't disagree there's no harm, I think it's more the point that I and others don't believe his appeal is truthful… Which makes people assume he is pulling the wool over their eyes.
