• So my current PC is starting to age a little bit. It's not as fast as it used to be and I think I'm due for an upgrade in the near future. I'll keep it simple. I have a strict budget: $1200 max. Not a single dollar over. I already have the peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse). I'm strictly looking for a PC and only a PC. I'd prefer a prebuilt especially considering all the scalpers. I know I'm obviously not going to get an RTX 30 series at that budget but I don't mind. It's mainly going to be used for a lot of multitasking though. I plan on running VMs quite often and doing light video editing. So multitasking / VMs are more of a priority than doing ultra 4k gaming at 200 fps. I'd still like a decent enough graphics card that I can do some light gaming, but I don't need maxed out graphics settings. Storage will be important though. I'd like 1TB preferably. I can take out my 1TB SSD from my computer or buy a bigger drive perhaps. My current SSD is SATA, not m.2, not sure if that makes a difference. Obviously since I'm focused on VMs I'm sure I'll need at least 16gb of RAM. Any suggestions? I've been keeping an eye out and I found a few but not sure if they're good:

Edit: to clarify, I am not in desperate need right this minute. I am willing to wait many months even. I just want to be prepared and have a clear idea of what I need and what's available. I'd like to hopefully get it some time this year (2022) though. Of course if you keep waiting for the next thing because it'll be better, you'll never actually end up settling with anything.
