savnith - perm ban appeal

  • Quote

savnith I never changed my ip address

You have a dynamic IP address it seems, I can confirm that both accounts you joined on recently had different IPs. I won't disclose those ofc.

  •   erin Never knew I had a dynamic ip I don't look into that stuff I just saw I was able to join with my first account I used yesterday so I joined with my main username I used today didn't know that was a issue as the ban was lifted. even the ban I have now expires tomorrow..

  •   savnith She can object for any reason she wishes or no reason at all. It's down to the ban manager to weigh that.

  • Can anyone here honestly say that they could get banned here, leave for what, at least 3 years now, and then still actually care about the ban you got from this server? Having been permbanned many times I can say I wouldn't, and I don't think it's unreasonable at all to think that. This is just a Minecraft server. It should probably be a small and forgettable part of your life, and that was the point of your permban in the first place - to make you forget this place and (hopefully) learn your lesson.

This is going to raise a tough question for the community: Have we matured enough since Savnith was last around to trust ourselves to not let him attack the community again if he decides to do so? We are nowhere near the standard for a professional and functionally "adequate" community, but I believe that we have at the very least reached the point where we don't have to worry about letting children harm our community. For those arguing that some would be "uncomfortable" with him here: This is a public server, and if he really wanted to, he could be here anyway.

I vouch, and honestly, if you believe we've improved since all those years ago, you should too.

  • Object. Not only because you bypassed a ban after being told to appeal. I have no grudges against you and maybe would have given you the benefit of the doubt. However, I'm starting to feel like your behavior hasn't changed at all based on this thread.

  •   savnith Look as I've said before, the initial case of ban evasion when you joined yesterday is not an issue to me. I am objecting because you were told you were indefinitely banned and must appeal to play (by myself, no less), and you went and knowingly joined the server again

I would have probably vouched had you not broken the rules so recently, but you did, so my objection remains.

savnith Also you can’t object for ban evasion since u said I have a dynamic IP.

You're quite wrong with this remark. You still decided to use another account and join the server after being instructed yesterday that you are still banned after you thought you weren't due to the fact Miasmus used your previous IGN, causing the entry to be removed. (You are banned still.) The dynamic IP just enabled you to bypass the ban without a VPN being required. Erin's objection is still valid because you still bypassed your ban. You made it very easy for us to determine bypassing was done as well due to this remark:

  •   Telesphoreo Well if u had a conversation with me thatll change a lot and also its not like I'm getting on the server as I used to using vpns and doing hella dumb shit I'm on and just chatting so if u can't notice from that idk what to say but I gave my input on my post.

  • Jesus christ this is getting like 1 comment every minute and 6 seconds.
Anyways vouch for now, its been awhile, I dont really know what he did.

savnith there isn’t a section on saying why I should be back

Question 4, which a lot of people seem to miss for some reason:

    apologize as applicable

Neutral, I don't know your story, just saw you joining again after being told you're indef banned
