Event Hosts currently have the power to mute by the bot. However, I think this feature needs to be removed as it’s never been used for events. Additionally, an event host won’t stop troll muting erin.
Thoughts?

Quote↩ @'wxtermelon' Additionally, an event host won’t stop troll muting erin.
Which?
why do they have the ability to mute people in the first place
↩ @'kanst' Because they were supposed to be able to manage events in the Discord. Frankly if someone is abusing the powers, they need to be removed and sanctioned...
↩ @'Ryan' Well there goes 1/3 of the event host team...
↩ @'wxtermelon' So be it.
vouch, for what its worth. pyro has been done for rule 8 of the event host policy
they really dont need these perms
I Vouch. If there is a problem, it should be brought to an actual admin's or staff member's attention.
Vouch, before the Purge we had a whole event category with its own text channels and voice stage / channel. Being able to mute players in that specific category would have made sense. We haven't restored any of that so it's more than reasonable to let only moderation staff handle abuses.
Object; get rid of the problematic people and keep the permissions for people who deserve it
Oh yeah forgot to add my vouch - the event host application doesn't test moderation abilities or ask for someone's competency with moderation commands. Its understandable, since they're not meant to be staff members.
We're giving people who may not be suitable staff members a command of a staff member.
Accepted, it wasn't meant to be a feature to begin with but kept it for the event hosts to control their events in a better way, wasn't used how I planned it to be.
