satisfactory server

  • @'wxtermelon' from what ive seen (although im probably wrong) it's like factorio, except played from a not 2.5d top-down perspective.

A triumphant roar echoes from atop the Seat of the Aspects as Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legact is formed.

  • for people who dont play satisfactory: basically its factorio and minecraft blended together. you land on a chosen region of a planet and youre supposed to build a factory, get resources, and turn said resources into usable parts, which you can then ask your local flying robot (or in some cases, space elevator) to fly into space, get more recipes, and repeat until satisfactory runs out of recipes to give you, in which case you can just explore (like minecraft) instead (or waste all your AWESOME tickets (that you earned by feeding a machine random junk) on a car that barely works except on flat roads)

also im pretty sure you cant host a satisfactory server but if im wrong please let me know

You can as if relatively recently. We can in the amp panel nicely that were moving to. I'm just not sure it's the sort of thing that works for a public server as you all share the same world and resources and are expected to play together as a team.

  • @'Ryan' now that i think of it, a public satisfactory server probably isnt a good idea
someone can literally dismantle someone else’s container, thus stealing most of their items + the materials needed for the container, or they can remove everyone’s builds, and make them homeless
in satisfactory players are all expected to work together which is probably why you cant block a build gun from disassembling someone’s progress (at least in the base game)

right now im voting neutral because I don’t know if this would actually end well (reasons above)

  • @'Ryan' oh there is a program for that
its only on the steam version tho so i cant host a server too because im using the epic games version (for some reason some games release on epic before they release on steam)

  • Given lack of support and lack of feedback, closing as denied.
