    Describe the bug or exploit:
It allows a player to change another player's Global Nickname.

    Plugin(s) impacted:
    NetworkManager (according to Wild).

    Expected behaviour (if known):
    Using /gnick <player> <nickname> should not change 's Global Nickname to .

    Step to reproduce:

    1. Make sure 2 players are on a Hub server (maybe any server would work but I don't know).
    2. Have Player 1 execute the command "/gnick <player2's username> ".
    3. Tell Player 2 to disconnect and login again.
    4. Watch as their name (in chat) becomes .

    Server where the bug occurred:
    Hub-03.

Can the bug or exploit be reproduced on another server within the network?
Maybe, but I cannot test it at the time of writing.

  • Weird, I'm raising this with the plugin dev atm to find out what's going on. Guessing there's a permission node that isn't documented that I should be using rather than the documented one.

Can someone let me know when Lyicx joins the hub? Thanks.

Have to say this is one of the more entertaining and light-hearted issues we've had in a while.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

  •   erin You don't need him online to be able to change his nickname.
As a matter of fact, you need him offline to change his nickname. (or at least for the changed nickname to take effect)
