Kyle Rittenhouse has been acquitted

  • As many people know, the trial for him has ended, and he was acquitted. I figured we should discuss this as it's a hot topic right now. What are your thoughts on the situation? Do you think the decision was just?

To me, this isn't really a surprise because from an objective point of view, he rightfully defended himself since he was under attack. The topic has become ridiculously politicized as well when it really shouldn't be.

Another man attempts to do some sort of flying kick into Rittenhouse's face (with dogshit form might I add, man looks like he's simultaneously kicking Rittenhouse and jacking off where are his hands):

I don't see how this was ever even a case. He was so obviously acting in self defense that I don't see how anyone could think that he is guilty.

  •   enchy He and his family should sue the circus media and shit for spinning it to fit their agendas. They'd make a fortune off that shit since they've been found not guilty and there shouldn't have been a trial, to begin with given the evidence is quite clear he was acting in self-defence.

  •   Alco_Rs11 Nick Sandmann all over again.
It's sad to see that media corporations are willing to trample over citizens, especially teenagers like Rittenhouse, just to make a high profile news story to line their own pockets.

  • Was he an idiot for going into a situation where he knew there'd be danger? Yes. But it doesn't make him guilty of murder.

Even if hes a racist or whatever he's being accused of being, it still doesn't change the fact that he was whacked over the head with a skateboard and had a weapon pointed at him.

He acted in self defence. His political views shouldn't matter. I don't care if he's a twat. He didn't go out there to kill people.

    Not guilty.

  •   NotPetya a claim like that against a person involved in this situation was the reason why so many people wanted Rittenhouse locked up.

The whole lesson people need to learn from this case is that who was shot doesn't matter, and that who fired the bullet doesn't matter. What matters is how the situation played out at the time. And he acted in self defence. That's why I am happy with this verdict, not that people think he shot a nonce.

For example, yes, at age 19, Rosenbaum was sentenced to prison for sexually abusing five children — all boys between the ages of 9 and 11 — in Arizona’s Pima County in early 2002, according to his case file obtained via a public records request by Snopes.

The documents said Rosenbaum was temporarily living with the boys’ parents after his mother had kicked him out for disobeying her rules about one month earlier. Over the course of his weeks-long stay, Rosenbaum molested the boys, showed them porn, and performed oral sex on them, among other offenses, the documents showed. He was sentenced to prison for roughly 15 years, and authorities believed at the time “his risk to recidivate being of great concern to the community” considering the victims’ gender and age. (Let us note here: The records included an interview with Rosenbaum in which he said his stepfather sexually abused him and his brother on an almost daily basis when he was a preteen.)

In no way does any of this relate to the murder, I just posted this because Miwo requested sources. One's history does not take away from the fact that they were killed. If an individual's previous convictions are brought up now to "justify" their death, there should have been requests to give them the death sentence at the time of their original sentencing.
