They're an easy way to cause lag and can be a huge hassle. We've got a serial bypasser utilising them so this issue is even more urgent than it otherwise would be.

Makes sense to me. It would be best to rename the Moblimiter to Entitylimiter to avoid confusing people.

I did some looking into this plugin and unfortunately, it does not completely support the limiting of mobs. The mobs that Insights can limit are (and only): Item Frames, Glow Item Frames, Paintings, Armor Stands, and End Crystals. However, I would say that Tile blocks limit thing is very useful.

This seems to me like something that would be great to implement alongside the main suggestion, as while minecarts can sometimes be useful (thus requiring the limit to be a non-zero number), large amounts of them are dangerous (thus requiring the limit to be as low as possible), this could help reduce the effectiveness of minecart lag, as well as the main suggestion, making minecart lag a (probably) impractical method crashing the server.

characterslimits is correct, the Insights plugin does not in fact support limiting minecarts:

Armor Stands are an exception to Insights non-static entities, because they can be made static in Paper's server configuration (in paper.yml: armor-stands-tick).

That means either implementing it in TFM, but that could take a while with our current development situation, or finding an entity management plugin that is preferably very configurable so that we don't have to find a new one if we want to do something like per-player limits in the future.
