There will never be another OS like Windows 7

    I've decided to create this thread to highlight just how beautiful Windows 7's UI is and how far we have fallen from actually decent UI designs. I've tried many things that are supposed to emulate the look and feel Windows 7 had, but none of them have come close to the original.

    Call me stubborn, but if my hardware actually supported the OS properly I would still use it as my daily driver to this very day, even though updates are not available for it anymore. Unfortunately, Windows 7 on my main computer isn't very stable and often blue-screens as a result of buggy drivers, so that really isn't an option.

    Windows Aero was a beautiful theme


    That being said, I'm not going back as I actually use some of the newer features, however they introduced some glitches in 1909 and they still haven't fixed it

    i know im a huge advocate for windows 8.1 because of the good backend changes and its generally underrated to a point where it gets me mad. but windows 7 was quite boss when it comes to its UI design. glass shit and in general placement of objects


    that being said, skeumorphism is unfortunately dated to most so i doubt we'll ever go back. flat shit seems to be more simple to the average joe

    ↩  burger hold up that kind of thing was happening 2 logo trends ago! before the oversimplification, there were regular 2d logos, and before that, there were more 3d things. the internet appears to be repeating itself
