Make all rank colours customisable.

Object colours make it easy to identify who has rank and what rank they are its silly to make them customisable just makes everything confusing

im personally neutral on this, whilst having a set colour for each type of position makes it easy to tell who is what and that, people can have their own interpretations on what colour they feel those ranks should be.

its not something that hurts to have but i am not sure if its worth the dev effort at the moment

It would be cool to have but knowing who is what is good for players new and old. I think the only way this would be a good idea is if you have sections separating admins, seniors, execs, etc using a fake player name in tab.

I think a few people are misunderstanding the meaning of this suggestion. The idea here isn't to have customisable admin rank colours that display publicly to the rest of the server, the idea is to have local rank colours.. so only the person who set the colours originally would be able to see them. The comparison to adminchat was made as you are able to change the formatting of your own adminchat without affecting the look of anyone elses.

This would be far from confusing as players would have to set their own rank colours for each rank, so at that point they'd know what is what anyway.

Neutral. I understand that this is the next logical step when no consensus can be reached, but it's such an inconsequential thing to have a setting for. If this is approved, you can apply the same reasoning to argue that the color scheme used by TFM's messages should be configurable.

↩  RedEastWood Correct, but it is pretty much the same thing. If I didn't know the story, I would be confused why you can configure this color scheme, but not this other color scheme from the same plugin.

I appreciate some people like the idea, but most people are objecting, and I personally think it's going to cause more confusion than good.
