Permission nodes in TFM

↩ characterslimits CoreProtect until the latest release was the big recent one that comes to mind. Nearly every other plugin does exactly the same behaviour, which is why we have to modify them. NetworkManager and Plan also do exactly the same, as does Essentials.

-
↩ Telesphoreo Then why the hell do we keep running a modified version..? That seems absolute madness.
-
-
↩ Ivan Given as far as I'm aware the modifications we make to essentials are controlled by permission nodes, and last I checked we were running some custom modified version of Essentials X, Yes, I'd like to know why we're not using the TFM permissions setup to revoke those perms from everyone and then re-add them to admins...

↩ @'Ryan' at one point we had a tptoggle and also a custom tpatoggle because tptoggle also blocks tpa. Not sure if that's still the case. Also we removed the commands from the plugins that should be blocked (like /backup and /antioch) and we also got rid of some conflicting commands with tfm such as /rtp. Also the jail system is also removed in TF-EssentialsX
-
↩ Telesphoreo Idea: give OP on join, then use a permissions plugin to remove the permissions that cause harm.
Result: True OP, and a flexible permission systemoops i just realized i bumped, i'm sorry i didn't see the date

↩ OperatorTheDope It is unfortunately not reliable or consistent, and still often requires modifications (As this is what we currently do with a lot of our plugins)
-
↩ OperatorTheDope this is already done in TFM and it's unreliable in some cases. Mainly this is bukkits fault but coreprotect used to give ops all permissions no matter what. This is no longer the case though
