Enable item drops for ops

  • Hey that rhymes

Anyway yeah, the ability for ops to drop items should be implemented imo.

Item drops are already purged very regularly and automatically and players who want to annoy others would just place a chest and fill it then break it.

I can't really see why item drops should continue to be blocked given those points.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

  • Object. At the speed entities are cleared on the server it probably wont be enough, using wurst's module "Item Generator" you can drop 4000+ entities in mere seconds.

I do want this added so if the devs would be willing to fix this problem somehow it would be amazing and I'd absolutely vouch.

  •   Miasmus Lets do the math, One chest filled with items would amount to at most 27 (54 if you make them 127 stacks, and if you use 127 stacks of unstackable items you get around 200) entities, this also needs to be done manually while the client is frame dropping to all hell, and could take a while. While the module I mentioned you click one button and you're done. Its an alternative method sure, but understanding when a certain method is far stronger is important.

The chest method would need to break at least 20 chests to be able to replicate the 2 seconds I tested the wurst module on. And thats if the person nbt edits the chest to have unstackable 127 stacks. If no nbt editing is done it would take around 148 chests.

  • As Lyicx has linked, FS-80 is already on the to-do list. However, no decision has been made on what the most sane way to implement it is: per-player limit, purge on disconnect, etc. Feel free to discuss that.

  • On the grounds there has been no further discussion and we already have a ticket out to investigate, I'll close this as already approved.
