Allow users of the forum to delete their own forum account.

Being able to delete your own account or have a function to request it is a GDPR requirement iirc.

To my knowledge flarum doesn't support this currently.

The current process is to email informationsecurity@atlas-media.co.uk with your account details and the process will be kicked off via that.

It is a GDPR requirement, however, I believe the email process is enough to fulfill that.
Even though, I'm going to vouch anyways, as a delete button is best practice.

↩ @'frequent_user' has a point, usually deletion requests need a verification process using an already verified email address. I'm not surprised if Flarum doesn't support this.

I think this should be dispersed towards the community, an initiative for GDPR compliance was already started and needs some additional effort to allow configurable ways to delete/invalidate accounts.

Added the process as a side note to the forum guidelines.

We won't be looking to add a plugin or anything like that, feels like overkill for something that doesn't happen that often.
