I dont really understand why the owner of a forum account on this forum cant delete their own account, It just seems like something that users should have the option to do if the desire.

Being able to delete your own account or have a function to request it is a GDPR requirement iirc.

To my knowledge flarum doesn't support this currently.
The current process is to email informationsecurity@atlas-media.co.uk with your account details and the process will be kicked off via that.

It is a GDPR requirement, however, I believe the email process is enough to fulfill that.
Even though, I'm going to vouch anyways, as a delete button is best practice. -
↩ @'Ryan' I think this can be added to the Forum Posting Guidelines or in its own sticky information thread.
↩ @'frequent_user' has a point, usually deletion requests need a verification process using an already verified email address. I'm not surprised if Flarum doesn't support this.

Added the process as a side note to the forum guidelines.
We won't be looking to add a plugin or anything like that, feels like overkill for something that doesn't happen that often.
