we've only just made them visible on the main page again.. and I honestly don't see it being spammed, I just see an active forum..
as well as this, it was just downright annoying to see "1 new unread forum post" just to reload and see nothing.
Many people vouched for this board to come back under the condition that they could hide it. As this condition has not been met (the extension that's supposed to do it is clearly not working), I believe that it is in our best interest to remove the board from the main page until the extension gets its shit together.

i vouched on the original suggestion but when that was in effect i've never been so fucking miserble in my entire tenure as a forum mod.

is there no way we can find a way to mute sections? i'm sort of tired of seeing 'regarding xyz' post #4939, or 'amogus' post #922432.
if there's no solution now, will this be an option on the new forum?
It is clear to me that we really need a feature that can be toggled per person here, because the community is pretty split on whether it should be visible or not.
