Clear the permban list again.

  • A few years ago, the permanent ban list was wiped of those players who were banned for certain section 2 and 3 offences, but not the major rule breakers like serial griefers and server crashers (if I'm wrong here feel free to correct me).

I'm suggesting we do that again, with players that have been banned earlier than November 2020. This is because it has been more than 6 months for those that would be banned.

    Thoughts on this?

  • If you want this to take place, please let me know exactly what criteria you think should be used, if any. I am impartial about purging the list, but arbitrarily deciding which offenses are worth an unban and which ones are not doesn't seem like a great idea to me.

    The criteria I suggest is:

    • Section 1, repeat offenders - minimum 10 months to have passed
    • Section 2, repeat offenders - minimum 6 months to have passed
    • Section 3, repeat offenders - minimum 3 months to have passed
  • Instead of suggesting this, why not suggest a third banlist which is something like a 6 months ban for non-major rule breakers?

A fool's fool fools fools who foolishly accept the foolishness of a fool's fool.

  •   StevenNL2000 Would like to see that suggestion revisited...

My view is if we purge the ban list we should purge purely on time (except unaopealable). If you're on the permban list your on the permban list...

  • Neutral. We are not all cut from the same cloth and repeated rule breaking is a massive umbrella which contains a lot of types of players I wouldn't agree with being allowed to come back at the same time as others.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

  • Object unless you clear everyone except the following:

Marco, Vicki, Savnith, UYScutix, Adamvandyck, Nathaniel.

The last one to clear it was me and I removed everyone except those “types” of people

  • I object. There are permbanned users here that have done things that I'm sure a lot of people here would find to be unforgivable, and I don't feel like they deserve an unban despite being in the category of "X months since they did Y." Some of these people are stalkers, pedophiles, etc. and others have essentially taken a bunch of jabs at the community to a point where they can't really regain the community's trust. These cases would probably need to be disputed individually, and that is going to cause a debate that just isn't worth having.
