That's probably because ops don't generally announce name changes.

↩ @'fndndjdnsnsn' ↩ @'Ryan' On the old forum, there was a section called "Name Changes" underneath Admin Information, but it can't be added here because tags can only have 2 layers on Flarum.

↩ @'Ryan' I think the point was that admins should know of operator name changes so they don’t mistake them for a new player.

That's fair. Either works. My assumption has been that's why we have name history and such
