Discord Advertising

    As half of our server is on discord, and people frequently communicate via discord - it would only make sense to take advantage of this by increasing advertising on that platform.


    I've scaled it down to the two best options, first of all we have disboard. Disboard is a server list that features discord servers as equal (e.g no paid services). You have to manually bump your server using a command in the discord server itself which boosts it to the top of the list. It uses tags as a means of searching for servers and offers descriptions, banners etc. to advertise it.


    Another option is discord.me. Similarly, discord.me is another server list that requires bumping every so often - however this bumping will have to be by whoever has access to the server on the server list. Discord.me offers platinum spots that boost and retain your server at the top of their list


    Thoughts on these being added?

    I think it’s really smart to get some more discord advertising!


    I think we should make the ip to the server more visible and easily accessible in discord and people could search up like “creative servers or free op servers" get a link to the discord and join us


    i think also being in the discord will help retain new players as they’ll be reminded of the server even after they leave for the first time, and will get further interactions with the community.

    While we're on this matter: Can we please get discord.totalfreedom.me to exist?

    It's always nice to get more people playing in the server, and those players in turn can become future staff, and even if they don't it's still nice to have more people in times when most people are inactive. The advertising will definitely help from what I see. The options are also quite promising, even if they both require us to manually boost it back up to a visible position.
