Ivan - Indefinite Suspension

    I'm issuing an indefinite suspension on Ivan due to the insensitive jokes he's been making recently regarding race and his general disregard for administrating on the server

    The rules directly cited from the policy which he broke:
    f. Extreme signs of bigotry
    j. Discriminatory jokes, slurs or hate speech (attacks on an individual or group based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disabilities)


    The reason that the suspension is indefinite is due to the fact he's only recently back from indefinite suspension, still being on probation.

    If anything this suspension proves that it takes much longer for admins to be given punishments that are also given to OPs, but this should not be the case. OPs should be able to report admins freely (a feature we used to have) without information about a report being placed leaked to the whole server.


    I don't think this suspension is a repeat of his past behaviour. He clearly did this to prove a point and nothing happened until he said the things in the second screenshot.

    Sure admins may receive some kind of a bias approval from fellow admins, but that's because they're expected to behave responsibly to represent the server. I actually reported Ivan since the start of him making those racist remarks yet received no response or update on the situation.


    For context, this was before he was banned from the discord. I had reported to elmon as he was the AO on at the time, in regards to this screenshot:



    I don't think the problem is with the bias of lower-ranked admins, but more-so with the lack of support from higher-ranked admins who are especially suited for this very reason.

    I understand that you're not required to respond to a report, yet don't you think it's better if you do? Even just to say "we're handling this".


    From my perspective, and anyone else that files a report against an admin who you don't respond to, it looks as if you've just ignored the report in the admin's favour and not taken it into account.

    @Shdwo#13258 You might be right, I tend to deal with reports sometimes while not responding to the person who sent the report and I understand that it can be confusing.


    I'll try to make an effort to respond to reports from now on when they are dealt with.
